AKC Golden Retriever Pet Purchase Agreement

Breeder of Quality Golden Retrievers

1Puppy Information

Breed: Purebred Golden Retriever

Registration: American Kennel Club (AKC)

Type: Limited Registration (Pet Only) — $900

This puppy is being sold strictly as a pet companion under AKC Limited Registration with no breeding rights included. If the Buyer wishes to upgrade to AKC Full Registration (breeding rights), this is available for $1200 and must be discussed and approved separately by the Seller.

2Payment Terms

Purchase Price: $900 (Limited AKC Registration — Pet Only) | $1200 (Full AKC Registration with Breeding Rights, if approved by Seller).

Deposit: $400. This deposit is applied toward the total purchase price.

Remaining balance: The balance must be paid in full at pickup via cash, bank check, or online invoice.

Accepted payment methods for deposit: Apple Pay, Zelle, or Chime.

Full payment must be completed before the puppy leaves the Seller’s possession.

3Health Guarantee (Initial 3-Day Period)

The Seller guarantees the puppy to be in good health at the time of sale. The Buyer must have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours (3 days) of pickup. Failure to do so voids this health guarantee. The Seller is not responsible for any veterinary costs after purchase. Stress-related conditions (including parasites) are not covered.

4Two-Year Health Guarantee

The puppy is guaranteed against congenital or hereditary conditions until two years of age. A licensed veterinarian must diagnose the condition and provide written documentation. The Seller must be notified within 24 hours of diagnosis.

Buyer options include:
  1. Return puppy for refund (minus deposit) and reasonable vet fees for certification.
  2. Return puppy for replacement of equal or lesser value.
  3. Retain puppy and receive reimbursement for treatment costs (not exceeding purchase price).

5Return Policy

Returned puppies must be in good condition, other than the stated issue. The Buyer is responsible for all transportation costs. Replacement puppies are subject to availability.

6Exclusions (Not Covered)

This guarantee does not cover vaccinations, deworming, heartworm prevention, environmental conditions (allergies, thyroid issues, ear mites, mange, autoimmune disorders), hip/elbow injuries, hernias, hypoglycemia, UTI, coccidia, giardia, or stress-related conditions.

7General Terms

All veterinary expenses are the responsibility of the Buyer (except where stated). The Seller does not guarantee size, color, coat, ear set, temperament, show or breeding quality. This agreement becomes void if the puppy is sold, transferred, or given away.

8Buyer Responsibilities

Buyer agrees to:

  • Take puppy to a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours at Buyer’s expense.
  • Maintain puppy’s health with proper vet care, nutrition, and a safe environment.
  • Feed high-quality food and avoid overfeeding.
  • Limit exercise during the first year: no jumping over 2.5 ft, short walks 10–15 minutes daily, supervised play.
  • Provide proper training and socialization. Christie’s Sweet Golden Retrievers is not responsible for any behavioral issues.

9Seller Responsibilities

Seller guarantees the puppy will be dewormed, vet-checked, and vaccinated, and will come with Full AKC registration if full registration is purchased.

10Legal Disclaimer

The Seller makes no warranties beyond those stated in this agreement. This contract represents the entire agreement between Buyer and Seller.
